Metin2 Quests

Quests are written in Lua and drive most of the interactive content in Metin2 — from simple NPC dialogue to full dungeon logic and timed events.

Metin2Zone collects ready-to-use quests and NPC scripts you can adapt to your server, plus the tooling to compile and debug them.

Types of Metin2 quests

Lua quests power a huge range of gameplay. Here are the categories you will use most.

  • Lua Quests

General-purpose quest scripts covering dialogue, rewards and conditions.

  • Dungeon Quests

Instance logic for spawns, stages, bosses and completion rewards.

  • Event Quests

Time-limited events, drop boosts and seasonal activities.

  • NPC Scripts

Interactive NPCs for shops, services, teleports and questlines.

Working with Lua quests

Quests live in your server files and are compiled with the quest compiler. Keep your quest folder organised, back up before edits and test each quest on a local server before deploying it live.
